This is for all Alonsistas and Ferraristas out there. We've waited a long time for Fernando Alonso to sign with La Scuderia. Let's hope that this F1 2010 season brings many victories to this fellow, who happens to be from Oviedo, in Asturias, Spain, a city only 25 km. away from Gijon, my birthplace. Forza Alonso!!

I did this caricature initially for my Caricatures 2010 painting, and then I decided to bring it up to a single caricature. Since I didn't like the face, I redid it from scratch, hoping to capture Alonso's character better than the old one, and also giving it a better illumination and face tones, without losing consistency with the already made Ferrari F1 suit and helmet. As for the helmet, I made it up completely, starting with a reference of Massa's and Raikkonen's. Spanish colors are present with yellows and reds, and I painted a metallic blue tone at the bottom, as a hint for the Asturias flag, wich is also present at the little yellow Cross of Victory painted at the chin part.
